St Teresa's is a Catholic integrated school with a roll of approximately 220 students from Year 1 - 8. St Teresa's is situated in Karori, an established suburb 6kms from downtown Wellington.

We are a medium sized co-educational primary school; big enough to do lots of things but small enough so that everybody still knows your name. The vision of St Teresa's is that it will provide "A learning environment where children achieve their full potential" St Teresa's recognizes that education of children is a partnership between home and school. Children reading Families are encouraged to participate in the life of the school through a number of avenues.

Students at St Teresa's are encouraged to learn in an atmosphere of praise and encouragement. St Teresa's is committed to teaching all areas of the NZ curriculum with a strong focus on literacy, numeracy, social and spiritual development. Extension and enrichment programmes are offered. St Teresa's provides an education based on gospel values and the principles of respect, tolerance and human dignity.

The religious Education Programme for Catholic Primary Schools in Aotearoa, New Zealand is taught in all classes. This curriculum provides a comprehensive programme in religious education, spirituality and Christian values.

The school is fully networked and all children have access to computers within their classrooms. In addition, the school has a pod of networked computers in the library. Students in Year 7-8 also have access to facilities of the technology suite at a nearby Karori school. The school has an active sports programme with a variety of sports available to all students. St Teresa's also offers a vibrant and creative education in the arts with students able to be involved in school Productions, a choir, kapa haka group and a variety of visual art events.

St Teresa's has a fully accredited After School Care Programme which operates each school day from 3.00pm - 5.30pm during term time. The fees for this programme are in addition to any school fees.
