Year 8 student, Telesia has been a contributing author to a new book about experiences of Sāmoan women, called Teine Samoa.
Telesia is the youngest contributor and has written about her experiences as a New Zealand born Sāmoan girl living within her family in Taiwan, Fiji, as well as in Wellington – and the challenges to maintaining her Sāmoan identity while being emersed in each culture. You may remember that Telesia also competed in a Chinese speech competition earlier this year.
What a star! Well done, Telesia! You can read about the Teina Sāmoa project through this link.
